ROVOS
// PROBLEM 01 · WE START HERE

Bruising.

This is the first problem we are solving, and the one I know best.

There were so many practices where I took shots I never wanted to see coming. Someone cranks one on you from the crease, it hits you, and it affects your form.

In my experience it makes goalies flinch and builds bad habits and bad form. That leads to more injury, and a lot of deep bruising that carries over into games and into your lifts.

When you have a huge bruise on your leg, you do not want to get hit in the same spot again. It changes the way you play.

Deep bruises can change the way you play. Flinching can too.

01
Building bad habits

Getting hit in practice can make you flinch. Flinching builds bad habits and bad form, which can lead to more injury.

02
Bruises that carry over

Deep bruising from practice carries over into games, into your lifts and into your next practice. It changes the way you play.

03
Protecting the spot

With a huge bruise on your leg, you do not want to get hit in the same spot again. So you protect it, and your game changes.
